| What does this software do? | Registry Fix scans your computer's registry for different problems such as corrupt entries, incorrect application paths and many other errors. It then corrects these problems, improving your system's performance. | |||||||
| Buying notes | The company who are handling the payment and delivery of this product are ClickBank. This is another company I've spent way more than I should have with over the years. They're a completely safe and reliable company to deal with. | |||||||
| First impressions | As Registry Fix is one of the more expensive products in this market, I was interested to see what extras it offered over the cheaper competitors. After a quick install I was taken to a simple panel containing the usual scan, settings and some other buttons on it. | |||||||

| What I liked |
Simple, clean interface
Even for someone like me who doesn't really know 'how things work' this software was easy to use from the outset. I just clicked on the scan button and the software did the rest. A really easy operation. Creates full backups automatically Under a button called 'Backup Controls' there's a great automatic backup. So every time you run a scan and repair problems, any changes you make can be undone. Restoring is very easy - a one click operation. There's also an additional full registry backup tool. Built in optimization tools There's three extra tools included: a startup program manager, which is very handy. An add / remove programs manager that lets you clean any hard-to-shift junk from this part of your computer. And finally a browser helper object manager. To remove various debris that might be slowing down your web surfing. |

| What I didn't like |
Too expensive for what you get
I couldn't see why this tool was given such a high price tag. It doesn't do as good a job as some of it's cheaper competitors, and it's more expensive than the tool I found did the absolute best job. Didn't perform as well as some of the other products I have to say I was disappointed with Registry Fix. I'd hoped it would outshine the cheaper tools and find a barrel full of genuine problems. In reality it found an average number of problems. About half what some of the cheaper tools find. Really awful help files There's no explanation of what's being fixed here and the help files are simply a link to a few pages on the Internet. Although the tool isn't exactly impossible to use, it's disappointing that they didn't take the time to write better information on getting the most from the tool. No system restore point There's no way to set a system restore point here, although quick registry backups are made here for you. It would have been preferable to have those and the ability to set a system restore point from within the software. |

| The verdict | Registry Fix isn't the worst tool on the market by a long shot. At the same it doesn't represent good value for money. The low number of errors fixed is cause for concern. And the high price tag leaves you scratching your head. Look elsewhere. There's better on the market for less. | |||||||
