Error Nuker Review    By Tom Armstrong

Error Nuker falls seriously short of what you'd expect it to do. Although it's easy enough to use, it's grossly over-priced and found a lot less errors than it's competitors.

What does this software do? Error Nuker scans your computer's registry for a number of different problems such as corrupt files, paths and registry key problems. It then corrects the problems it finds, improving your system's performance.
Buying notes The company who are handling the payment and delivery of this product are ClickBank. This is another company I've spent way more than I should have with over the years. They're a completely safe and reliable company to deal with.
First impressions Error Nuker stomps into the registry repair market at a heavy weight with an impressive 5 star rating from Download.com. So I was keen to see what it had to offer, especially as it wasn't the cheapest reg cleaner I've tested out so far. Installation was quick and easy and the interface was simple enough to figure out.

What I liked Scheduler keeps your PC in tip top shape

There's too much to remember in everyday life and I suspect, if you're like me, most of us would forget to run a registry scan as often as we should. Thankfully this tool comes with a nifty little scheduler that will do the scan for you at set times and dates.

Easy to use

This tool's easy to use. There's a simple 'scan' button that you click on and then sit back as the software checks everything's in order. It runs quickly too.

Easy enough to do backups

Backups are created each time you fix the problems that come up. Changes are stored efficiently under the 'Restore' section of the software. Re-doing what you've deleted / cleaned is a simple process of choosing a set of changes from the list and hitting 'Undo'. No sweat.
What I didn't like The worst performer at finding errors

Only 140 errors were found on my most used, most-full-of-junk computer. This is not acceptable. This was the worst performing registry tool I tested. There are tools that have found almost 10 times the number of errors this one does - and they COST LESS!

And an extremely high price

At a whopping $40 smackos, this tool is not cheap. For that much it should optimize your PC, make you a nice coffee and rub your tired shoulders while it does the scan. There's no icing on the cake here I'm afraid. This tool does a poor job and costs more money than it's competitors.

No final count of problems found

While Error Nuker lists the number of problems found in each category, I had to whip out my trust calculator and add them all up to find the total problems it detected. Come on! This is basic stuff. You want to know how many errors were found.

Couldn't find the help files

Most software has a 'help' link somewhere in it, or within one of the menus. I couldn't find the help files after I'd installed Error Nuker. This was a problem because there were a couple of things I wanted to look up.
Strengths
  • Scheduler does the scans for you
  • Making and restoring backups is child's play
  • Cleaning and managing tools to remove extra junk.
  • Runs at a decent speed.
Weaknesses
  • A terrible performer. Only 98 errors found on 1 PC?!
  • Way over-priced at just short of $40.
  • Doesn't tell you total errors found.
The verdict This is the second tool I've tested that's been in the higher priced bracket that's delivered LESS than it's lower-priced competitors. I guess if you'd never seen a registry cleaner before, you might think this one's OK. But I can tell you it isn't. I've tested a load of them and this one does not do a good enough job - even if it were priced at a tenth of what it is.

My advice would be to seriously avoid this one. I've no idea what the people at Download.com were smoking when they gave it full marks. But it's really not the tool you need.
