Are registry software sites pulling the wool over your eyes?

Here's an email I got from a website visitor today. I thought it was a great question, so I've decided to post it here:

Hello Tom. Are you compensated for each subscription that is purchased from your website, and does this compensation vary from one product to another? Still a bit skeptical about who you can trust over the internet.

Suzan

Hello Suzan!

Thanks for the email. And I completely understand what you mean. I've bought loads of products on the web that I saw get a really good review, only to find that they just weren't up to scratch.

First the bad news ;-) I do get commission for each product I sell. And yes it varies from product to product. Most software sites do get paid in this way.

The good news... I think my site is the exception on the web with regards to registry software. Whereas other sites list the products based on how much they get paid when someone orders a product, and do not even test out the software, I bought and tested each one. I also wrote honest reviews on them and wrote about my findings.

I'm still using Registry Easy and it was pretty obvious that it's miles a head of the other products I'd tested out. I've made some more tests on other products since first creating the site but they're what I'd call 'much of a muchness'. That is to say that they all seem pretty average.

Most sites out there aren't interested in getting the right products to people. They just want to make money. I can attest my website lists the  products that work best higher and gives them the best score.

Hope this helps and all the best,

Tom
