I received an email from a concerned visitor to my website today, asking about the price of one of the products reviewed on my website - Regcure.

"I tried buying your advertised RegCure through your website that told me to 'click here' to buy and after the scan RegCure did asked me to register so I can buy which I did but the price they were charging was $29.95. How can I buy for your advertised price of $19.95.

Yours wasn't just a come-on to force me to pay $29.95 anyway was it?

I'd appreciate a reply so I can be clear on ethical practices in online buying.

I check the prices of the products I review on my website monthly but apparently I've missed this one. And when I checked, RegCure has increased by $10 from when I first checked it out.

Here's my reply to Ramon:

"It looks like they've increased the price since my last review of the product. I'll make sure I update my website with the new price.

At just under $20 RegCure was a real bargain. At $29.95 it's still a sound product. You can't go wrong with either Registry Easy (which I use on all my computers regularly) or RegCure.

Just about every other reg cleaner I've tested was just average to be honest. Despite what most other sites were boasting about 'em!

This also brings up a good question about buying products you see reviewed and compared online. Ramon thought I might have been trying to pull a fast one by offering the product at a reduced rate. So is it safe to buy software products online? Of course! If your in doubt, check what the refund policy is for the software before you buy. I always state that in my registry software reviews what the refund policy is for each product so that you know what your options are should you want to return a product.
